Claims Search Database
The Nebraska Workers' Compensation Court has implemented a Claims Search Database to assist its EDI trading partners in complying with their electronic reporting responsibilities. This database is an application maintained within myNebraska, the State of Nebraska Web Portal (http://my.ne.gov). The myNebraska portal is a secure extranet Web site developed by the State of Nebraska's Information Management Services.
The basic claims information that can be accessed in the database will help trading partners to file accurate subsequent reports with the court. For example, if a trading partner is preparing to electronically file a subsequent report and doesn't know the agency claim number assigned to the claim, an approved user can search the database for the first report filed on the case, which will include the agency claim number.
To become approved for access to the Claims Search database, trading partners must complete and submit:
- an electronic EDI Trading Partner Profile, and
- an electronic Claims Search Database User Profile.
Note: If you have already submitted an electronic EDI Trading Partner Profile recently, then you will only need to submit the Claims Search Database User Profile.
Once the court receives and verifies this information, authorization will be granted for assigned users. The court will then contact the trading partner business contact via email with assigned user identification numbers. A second email provides a temporary user password and instructions.
To stay updated on important password and other account-related issues, trading partners should regularly review the Nebraska Portal's Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).
Please contact either of the court's Claims Search database administrators shown below with questions or if you need to add, delete or otherwise update the approved user list. Requests from trading partners can come only from the trading partner's EDI Business Contact. For security purposes, we will need to verify user name, user ID, user phone number, and company name when assisting users with database issues.
